Eastern Taiwan is the island’s beautiful backyard, far away from the grimy urban blight of the big cities. Here, one’s eyes can feast on rugged green landscapes and bright blue skies.

Here one can rediscover the comfort and peace found only in nature, and give one’s over-stimulated, restless heart and mind a welcome break.

Confronted with the sheer size and wonder of the natural world, I feel that my tiny self is no longer that important, and are soothed by the certainty that Mother Nature embraces everything without judging.

Anybody who wants to leave chaos and worries behind should come here, climb a mountain and let himself be touched by the sight of ever higher verdant ranges on the right and the vast and glittering Pacific on the left.

Whether we intend it or not, the scenery in front of our eyes will probably be seen by many different people on different occasions.

Via our camera, we generate traces of evaporating time, vestiges of vanished worlds.
